Graduate Fellowship Awards
In order to encourage exceptional scholars to complete their Ph.D. work,
The Christian Scholarship Foundation, Inc., Atlanta, Georgia, announces the
availability of three to five Graduate Fellowship Awards, each ranging from
$2,000 to $10,000, to be awarded for the academic year beginning September, 2003.
Who May Apply
The fellowship is available to members of the churches of Christ who are teaching
or who plan to teach religion and related subjects in universities, colleges, schools of
theology, and Bible chairs. Previous recipients are eligible to apply. They may receive
the award one additional time.
The applicant must have satisfactorily completed at least one full year of study as a
candidate for the Ph.D. or equivalent post-graduate degree prior to the year of application.
A person already holding a Ph.D. degree is not thereby excluded from candidacy.
Areas of Study
Study may be pursued in any field related to the recognized theological disciplines
in seminary, college, or university programs of instruction leading toward the Ph.D. or
equivalent degree.
